Missouri Lawyers Choose Members of 2007-2008 Board of Governors and Young Lawyers' Section Council

JEFFERSON CITY (August 24, 2007) -- The lawyers of Missouri, voting in districts throughout the state, have elected three new members to the Board of Governors of The Missouri Bar and retained 17 incumbents for new terms.

Voting at the same time, members of the state bar’s Young Lawyers’ Section (YLS) chose four new members to that group’s governing Council and re-elected 10 more.

New members of the Board of Governors are: Mark W. Comley of Jefferson City; Tracy Hunsaker Gilroy of St. Louis; and Virginia Fry of Springfield.

The following members of the Board of Governors were re-elected to new two-year terms: Allan D. Seidel of Trenton; Max E. Mitchell of Sedalia; William J. Lasley of Carthage; Erik A. Bergmanis of Camdenton; Matthew W. Mocherman of Cape Girardeau; Douglass F. Noland of Liberty; Carol Chazen Friedman, the Hon. Richard C. Bresnahan, Mark H. Levison, William R. Bay and Jennifer M. Joyce, all of St. Louis; John S. Johnston, Dana Tippin Cutler and Walter R. Simpson, all of Kansas City; Eric J. Wulff of St. Charles; Wallace S. Squibb of Springfield; and H.A. “Skip” Walther of Columbia.

New members of the Young Lawyers’ Section Council are: Whitney E. Deacon and Lauren E. Tucker McCubbin, all of Kansas City; Jason A. Paulsmeyer of Jefferson City; and Michael J. Sudekum of St. Louis.

Incumbents elected to another term on the Young Lawyers’ Section Council are: Jason H. Lamb of Mexico; Amanda Pennington Ketchum and Michael A. Williams of Kansas City; Lauren Perkins Allen of Lees Summit; R. Travis Jacobs of Columbia; John R. Gunn, Craig G. Moore and Amy Bender Levy, all of St. Louis; Aaron D. Jones of Springfield; and Matthew C. Price of Camdenton.

The newly-elected and returning members of both groups will take office at the conclusion of the 2007 Missouri Bar Annual Meeting, scheduled for September 26-28 in Springfield.
